Fund the first move
How it works
Backing new energy businesses that mainstream lenders won't read properly yet.
Underwritten on the pipeline
Signed contracts, framework positions and forward order books count for more than two years of filed accounts.
Directors' experience matters
Ten years installing HV systems before you incorporated is not invisible to us, even if it is to a credit algorithm.
Vans, tools, test kit, plant
The unglamorous working assets that let a new energy business actually deliver its first jobs.
Grow-with-you structures
Start modest, build the payment record, come back for a larger facility on better terms.
Good fit if
This is usually right for you when:
- 01
Trading under 24 months, or newly incorporated with track record
- 02
Contracts or a credible pipeline in energy or electrical work
- 03
Directors willing to support the facility

FAQs
Start Up Finance: common questions
What businesses ask before they commit. If yours is not here, call 01604 969123.
Can a new business get asset finance?
It is possible but the criteria are tighter. Funders normally want a larger deposit, director support and clear evidence of the contract or revenue the asset will service. We are straight with you about the likelihood before you invest time in an application.
What improves the chances for a young business?
A meaningful deposit, a signed contract behind the asset, directors with relevant trading history and clean personal and business credit. Assets with strong resale values are also easier to place than highly specialist kit.
Are personal guarantees required?
For younger businesses, usually yes in some form. It is a normal part of early stage commercial lending and we make sure you understand what is being asked before anything is signed.
