About GRID
We came at finance from the power side.
Most asset finance businesses learned about energy because customers started asking. We worked in energy first, then built the funding around it. It is why our first question is about the project, not the borrowing.
GRID exists because a lot of sound energy projects never get built. Not because the engineering is wrong, and not because the payback is bad, because the capital timing is awkward and the funding conversation gets handled by someone who has never looked at a half-hourly consumption file.
So we start where the project starts. The business, the site, the operational requirement, the equipment being considered and what it is meant to achieve commercially. Solar, battery storage, temporary power, EV fleets, depot charging, grid connections and the electrical infrastructure underneath all of it.
Only then do we talk about funding. We take the project to funders who understand energy assets and present it in terms they can credit, with drawdowns shaped around delivery and energisation rather than a generic term.
We are UK-focused and commercially pragmatic. If a project doesn't stack up, we'll tell you that in the first conversation rather than three weeks in.
How we work
Four things we don't compromise on.
Project first
The system, the site and the constraints come before any conversation about structure.
Straight answers
A clear funding view in 24 hours, including when the answer is that it isn't worth doing.
Whole-project funding
Civils, switchgear, controls and connection works, not just the shiny hardware.
Broker, plainly stated
We're a credit broker, not a lender. Our value is knowing which funder fits which project.
